Golumbki
- ½ lbs. Ground Beef
- 1 cup Cooked Rice
- 2 Onions
- 1 (3 lb.) Head of Cabbage
- 1 tsp. Salt
- ¼ tsp. Pepper
- 2 Eggs (Beaten)
- 2 cans Tomato Soup (Diluted)
- 2 tbsp. Butter
Cut out heart of cabbage.
Place cut side down in boiling water and boil for about 3 minutes, until leaves are soft.
Drain in a colander and cool.
Sauté onion in butter.
Combine beef, seasonings, eggs, onion, and rice. Mix well.
Separate leaves of cabbage carefully and place a spoonful of filling on each cabbage leaf.
Fold over to make a neat roll.
On bottom of casserole dish or roasting pan, place some outer leaves of cabbage and dot with butter.
Place rolls on top of this and pour tomato soup over the rolls.
Cover and bake in moderately hot oven at 325 degrees for about 2 hours
